We live off of the land and off grid, meaning no city power or water supply, we only purchase foods from our local farmers market when needed, we live primarily organic lifestyles, grow and raise our own foods.

New Jura Intentional Community is a vegetarian and vegan only community, we find that this dynamic is what works best for our families as well as each other in this group!

There are members who will be raising chickens and goats; for eggs and milk ONLY, I must stress that fact. The animals raised here will not be put into cramped pens, but will be able to roam the property freely, this includes the communal living areas, the only place off limits to the animals will be the garden areas.

We utilize rainwater capture as a primary source of water for the community, this includes water for the gardens.
